Bojana Dimitrovski is a professional illustrator. She comes from an artistic background, including three generations of painters. Her love of fine arts can be traced to her great-grandfather, who once painted frescoes in a small wooden church somewhere in Macedonia.
For a while she lived in Canada, illustrating ad campaigns and design projects, mostly under the wing of the McMillan advertising agency in Ottawa. At the time the computer was her main tool for drawing and painting, and her illustrations were featured in magazines like Redbook, Vogue and Glamour. She also worked in the field of classical animation.

Eventually she moved back to the Old World, and re-discovered her dream of illustrating books. In 2006 she graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Belgrade. She has illustrated a number of children’s books in Slovenia and Serbia. In 2017, her illustrations from the picture book Fire were nominated for The Levstik Award, a literary prize in Slovenia awarded for achievements in children’s literature. She also illustrated the trilogy about Vilko the cat, which she co-authored. She lives and works in Slovenia.
